Frequently asked questions

How to convert SVG to PDF in ConvertLab?+

Choose your SVG file, select PDF, then proceed to preparation. Check the displayed options and click "Start conversion." After processing, download the result and open it in your target application. Simply selecting an output does not send your file.

Is the conversion from SVG to PDF free?+

€2 per month, renewed automatically. Turn off renewal in your account before the next billing date. Access continues until the end of the paid period. An Internet connection is required. File size limits and format compatibility still apply.

What elements should be checked in the result?+

Compare the image at 100%: details, colors, orientation, and dimensions. Test the transparency on a light and then dark background. A conversion does not recreate details absent from the source.

JPEG, PNG or WEBP: how to choose?+

For a photo to send, start with JPEG. For a logo with transparency or sharp text, prefer PNG. For a web publication, WEBP can be interesting: compare the size and the rendering before publication. Converting a JPEG to PNG does not restore details lost earlier.

Why does my transparent background become opaque?+

JPEG does not preserve transparency. Choose PNG or WEBP when the background must remain transparent and the proposed conversion allows it. If the background is already flattened in the original file, changing the format will not remove it.

Will my Photoshop layers or my vector drawing be preserved?+

A JPEG or PNG output is a flattened image. It does not retain PSD layers or the editable objects of an SVG or an Illustrator file. Keep your working file and use the exported copy for sharing. Specialized creation formats are indicated by NoLimit.

What to do if the conversion fails?+

Read the displayed message: a size limit, a reached quota, and an unsupported format require different actions. Check that the file opens locally, then try again with a lighter copy if necessary. If the problem persists, contact support with the formats, size, and error message, without attaching sensitive data.
