Your files
Purpose: to receive the file you select, perform the requested conversion, and send you back the result. Legal basis: execution of the requested service (Article 6.1.b of the GDPR).
Sending the file is necessary for conversions carried out on the server. Unit and currency calculation tools do not require a file.
Declared hosting: conversion server in France, at OVHcloud. The file transfer uses HTTPS/TLS.
Storage: files are placed in a temporary space during processing. Under normal operation, its cleanup is triggered after sending the response to the browser. ConvertLab does not offer backup for your documents.
Files are processed automatically by the service and its hosting infrastructure for the requested conversion. They are not intended for advertising providers.
Your files are neither sold nor used to train an artificial intelligence model.
No trading of your data
ConvertLab does not sell, rent, transfer, or exchange your files or the data related to them.
Our business model is based on two sources, and only two: the paid NoLimit offering and the display of advertisements. Your files are part of neither.
Technical data retained
To enforce the free plan quotas (10 files and 1 video per day), our server records your IP address and the number of conversions performed that day.
The counter uses daily dates. When accessing the quota table, rows with a date earlier than D−2 are purged. This mechanism does not guarantee deletion exactly 48 hours later, particularly in the absence of new access to the service. Legal basis: legitimate interest in preventing abuse (Article 6.1.f of the GDPR).
No file name, no content, no extension is saved. We know how many files an IP address has converted today, but never which ones.
Technical logs are also produced by hosting services. Their retention period and configuration must be confirmed for the released version; no 30-day period is guaranteed at this stage.
Upload preparation uses a random identifier and an association fingerprint to check the permitted number of files. This technical information expires after four hours and is purged on subsequent access to the table; it does not contain file content.
NoLimit offer and payment
The new NoLimit subscription plan is being prepared and cannot yet be subscribed to. Historical token-based accesses retain their expiration.
Before opening accounts and subscriptions, this policy will be completed with the data actually collected, the recipients, the legal bases, the retention periods, and the procedures for exercising the corresponding rights.
Cookies and advertising
Advertising remains disabled in the version in preparation as long as its configuration and the consent mechanism are not validated.
Upon activation, the information on trackers must identify their purposes and allow the applicable choices, including the withdrawal of consent.
Any historical NoLimit accesses use the browser's local storage. Clearing the site data may erase this access on the device.
Transfers outside the European Union
The declared hosting of conversion files is located in France. The guarantees and any transfers associated with advertising, connection, and payment services will be specified according to the services actually activated. No blanket statement of the absence of transfer outside the European Union is made for these services.
Your rights
In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection.
These rights are exercised under the conditions provided by the GDPR, depending on the processing and its legal basis. They may concern technical data or the exchanges you send us, not just your IP address.

Your requests by email
If you contact support, your email address and the content of your message are used to respond to you. Do not send files containing confidential data unless necessary.
The processing of a request related to the service is based on its execution; other requests are based on the legitimate interest of the publisher to respond. The retention period of communications and the email service provider must be specified before publication.
