Article 1 · Purpose
These general terms of use (GTU) govern access to the ConvertLab.cloud service and its use.
Use of the service implies full and complete acceptance of these GTU. The service provider is identified in the legal notice.
Article 2 · Service Description
ConvertLab.cloud offers online file conversions. File processing is carried out on the service's servers in France.
The transfer uses HTTPS/TLS on the published site. Files are processed in a temporary folder, which is cleaned up after the response or in case of an error. Keep your originals and save your results before leaving the page. Technical data and their retention are described in the privacy policy.
Unit calculations are performed in the browser. Currency calculations use rates retrieved online; the entered amounts are calculated locally.
Free access is available with the limits below. New NoLimit subscriptions are not yet open.
Article 3 · Access to the service
Access to the free version is open and does not require any registration or account creation.
The publisher reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the service at any time, notably for maintenance.
Article 4 · Acceptable Use
The user agrees to:
· use the service in compliance with applicable laws;
· not convert any file whose content is illegal;
· not attempt to bypass the technical limitations or quotas of the service;
· do not automate the sending of requests to the point of degrading the service for other users.
Any violation may result in the restriction or immediate suspension of access.
Article 5 · Limitations of the free version
The free offer allows preparing up to 3 files per send, within the limit of 10 files per day, including one video, and 100 MB per file.
Free conversions are indicated in the catalog. Padlocks indicate conversions and options reserved for NoLimit; a card can offer both free and paid outputs.
Limits and rights are controlled on the server side. The free quota is shared per IP address: multiple people using the same network can share this quota. An approved conversion attempt can consume the quota even if the engine cannot produce a result.
Advertising distribution is currently disabled. Any potential activation will be accompanied by the applicable information and consent choices.
Article 6 · Access NoLimit
Create or access my account. €2 per month, renewed automatically. Turn off renewal in your account before the next billing date. Your existing browser-based access remains separate from the new monthly offer. It keeps its expiry date and does not become an automatically renewing subscription.
Article 7 · Right of withdrawal
The rights applicable to a potential subscription, in particular the withdrawal procedures, will be explained in the terms of sale before the payment is opened.
These Terms of Use do not provide for any automatic waiver of a legal right solely by using the site. For a request regarding a past purchase, contact support with your purchase reference.
Article 8 · User Responsibility
The user is solely responsible for the files they submit and for the use they make of the converted files. They guarantee that they have the necessary rights to these files.
ConvertLab.cloud does not perform any antivirus analysis. It is the user's responsibility to ensure the safety of the files they convert and download.
The service is not a storage or backup space. The user keeps their original files and downloads the results they need.
Article 9 · Responsibility of the publisher
The quality of a conversion depends in particular on the source file, the formats, and the chosen processing. Check the result before using or sharing it. Interruptions or errors may occur.
No provision of these Terms of Use excludes liabilities or warranties that cannot be waived by law, nor the mandatory rights of the consumer.
Article 10 · Intellectual property
The service, its design, its source code, and its editorial content are protected by intellectual property law. Any reproduction without prior written authorization is prohibited.
ConvertLab relies on open-source conversion engines (FFmpeg, LibreOffice, ImageMagick, Pandoc, Calibre, 7-Zip), used in accordance with their respective licenses.
Article 11 · Modification of the Terms of Use
The Terms of Use may evolve to take into account the operation of the service. The published version indicates its update date. These changes do not eliminate the rights already acquired or the legal protections applicable to a service already subscribed to.
Article 12 · Applicable law and disputes
These Terms of Use are subject to French law.
Failing an amicable resolution, the French courts have jurisdiction. The consumer may refer the matter to the court of their place of residence.
